Paul Webber

Cropredy Lawn has developed into a marvellous training yard since my father John Webber moved here in 1956.  My father trained over 300 winners including two Cheltenham festival winners with Elfast, along with a host of other good races with The Snipe, Townley Stone, Dream Isle and her wonderful daughter Auntie Dot, who won 15 races and was third in a Grand National.

Over 250 winners have been trained here since I took over the licence after my father’s death in 1995.  Successes over jumps include three Red Rum Chases at Aintree with Flying Instructor, Jungli and Tidour.  An Imperial Cup with Carlito Brigante and a Scilly Isles Chase with Patricksnineteenth. On the flat Ulundi won at Royal Ascot and Kew Green has won two Heritage handicaps this season.

Cropredy Lawn has wonderful facilities to give the horses the best possible environment in which to be trained. A 6 ½ furlong All Weather gallop, Equine Swimming Pool, numerous different schooling facilities, loose-jumping school, indoor school, grass gallops, loads of turnout paddocks and two horsewalkers…………… more
